Chris honed his craft while attending the University of South Florida under the expert eyes of Ron McKeefery and Frank Wintrich. He was a strength and conditioning coaching assistant for all sports at the university, for 3 years. During this time he also played arena football for the Florida Scorpions. While preparing for his football career, he was trained by former sprinter Aaron Prather. While training with Coach Prather, Chris was given the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of sprint mechanics from Coach Prather and other past Olympians. After graduating from the University of South Florida, Chris received the opportunity to be a strength coach for professional athletes as a member of the New York Yankees organization. Chris has been an integral part of a changing mind-set of the way baseball players are trained in the Baltimore Orioles organization. In his first year with the Orioles, this training philosophy assisted his team to becoming GCL South Division Champions. His knowledge and drive to educate himself on all aspects of training and recovery have lead to decreased injury rates and increased performance for his athletes.
